You have 30 days after the marriage to add your spouse and/or make changes to your DTFOC benefits.

Within 30 Days of Getting Married

• Review your DTFOC benefits and add or update your benefits coverage.
  • In addition to considering adding your new spouse to your DTFOC medical, dental and vision benefits, you may want to increase your flexible spending account.
  • Consider adding spouse life and AD&D insurance. Note: If your spouse is an DTFOC employee, you may not add this benefit since employees may not be dually insured.
  • You may want to take this time to review and update your beneficiaries.
• Be sure to enroll or make changes within 30 days of the marriage. The change will be effective based on the date of marriage. 
• Log in to Workday. Navigate to the Benefits and Pay Hub, choose change benefits, Marriage.

At Any Time

• Login to Workday, update your beneficiaries for your life insurance.
• Explore the financial planning resources available through Fidelity and update your 401k beneficiaries.
• Utilize tele-health support through the Reliance Matrix All One Health Employee Assistance Plan. You and anyone in your household can receive up to five free visits with a counselor.
