You have 30 days after the child’s birth or placement to add your child to your coverage and/or make changes to your DTFOC benefits.

Before Your New Child Arrives

• Work with your manager to create a plan that works for you.
• Schedule your leave of absence. Visit The Hub to learn more about the leaves of absence DTFOC has to offer or contact the Leave Team.

Within 30 Days of Your Child Arriving

• Review your DTFOC benefits and add or update your benefits coverage.
  • In addition to considering adding your new addition to your DTFOC medical, dental and vision benefits, you may increase your flexible spending account.
  • Consider adding child life and AD&D insurance.
  • Be sure to enroll or make changes within 30 days of the birth of the baby. The change will be effective based on the birth date of the baby. 
  • Log in to Workday. Navigate to the Benefits and Pay Hub, choose change benefits, birth or adoption.

At Any Time

• Login to Workday, update your beneficiaries for your life insurance.
• Explore the financial planning resources available through Fidelity and update your 401k beneficiaries.
• Utilize tele-health support through the Reliance Matrix All One Health Employee Assistance Plan. You and anyone in your household can receive up to five free visits with a counselor.
• If enrolled in a DTFOC medical plan, you can search for network pediatricians at aetna.com.
