  • Stay on DTFOC coverage. Then when your company benefits end at a later time, you can enroll during Medicare’s special enrollment period with no penalty.
  • Enroll in Medicare and cancel DTFOC coverage. Contact the Benefits Team for instructions on how to cancel your company benefit plan.
  • Keep DTFOC coverage and enroll in Medicare. Dealer Tire’s plan pays primary to Medicare.

Spousal coverage: If your spouse is covered by your employer health insurance, they may want to enroll only in premium-free Medicare Part A until you retire, or your employer coverage ends. Part B, along with its premium, can be added later without penalty during a Special Enrollment period as long as you provide proof of creditable coverage from Dealer Tire.
